INABA KANEYOSHI

Inaba Kaneyoshi was a Showa period swordsmith from Gifu city, Gifu prefecture. Kaneyoshi was born 1921 and died 1966.  He worked at the Inaba Jinjya or shrine and his works made there are signed Inaba Kaneyoshi.

Kaneyoshi was also a Kaigun Jumei Toko or Japanese Naval contract smith. On  the naval contract blades such as the one seen here, he simply signed Inaba.
