KOSHIRAE - TYPE 94 SHIN-GUNTO

Offering the ever more popular Koa Isshin Mantetsu sword.  The sword is the standard production of the Manchurian Railway Co. which began production in 1939.

* For everything you want to know about Mantetsu Blades see this article:  http://ohmura-study.net/998.html

This particular sword was produced and dated 1942. It is dated in the Kanshi or Zodiac system of dating used on these swords.  The Kanshi is an ancient system which began around 1100 BC. The system utilizes astronomy, cosmology, and divination within a 60 year cycle of dating.

This sword is in excellent condition with no flaws in either the blade or koshirae.  The blade does have a few surface scratches, a few tarnished spots.  No chips, bends, haigire, or anything fatal whatsoever.  Considering it is in it's original 70+ year old polish it looks great.  It is still Ububa as shown in above photos.  The spine number "Ra" 802.

The Koshirae has no dents or dings at all and is in great condition.

This is as nice a Mantetsu sword as I have seen and the Koshirae is better than most I have seen.
