Shinshinto Katana by the Tosa Tadakuni. This Tadakuni was to become a student of the Master Suishinshi Masahide and later changed his name to Toshihide. He is the same as Toshihide TOS304 & TOS305

The sword has a very nicetori-zori sugata or shape.  There is chu kissaki, the boshi is ko-maru with no turn back and has hakikake. The hada is a somewhat loose itame with lots of ji-nie.  The hamon is gunome midare with lots of ashi and clouds of nioi. The nakago is ubu with one mekugi ana. The habaki and shirasaya are new and made by Brian Tschernega.

Please note: This sword looks 100 times better in hand the the photos depict.  This is a result of  the lighting reflecting off every little area of loose grain, no matter how small.  These tiny areas are not even noticeable in hand yet makes this type sword very difficult to photograph (see photos).  Note, this sword comes with a three day inspection period.

This sword received a 75 pt Kantaisho from the NTHK-NPO, which attests to the quality.
