KOSHIRAE

Offered on consignment is a Te-Yari or hand spear. The blade is a Sasaho yari meaning the blade portion is leaf shaped or more specifically bamboo leaf shaped. The blade of the yari has no major damage or flaws, but could use a polish.  The hada and hamon are visible in hand but are diminished due to lack of care. The hada is masame and the hada is suguha. It is fully mounted with the original pole. The pole is complete with only a few of the dogone or wire wrappings missing (see photos), it has a rich warm patina. The saya is leather and has a small split in the very end.

Overall a nice mounted Te-Yari
