There are a few discrepancies in the mei combined with the lack of papers give me pause in listing this sword as a shoshin work by Sadakatsu. As it is a consignment, I cannot make any guarantees of it passing shinsa.
What I can do and have done is restructure the price to a point that I feel is reasonable for a mumei Katana of this quality and condition.
And make no mistake, this is an extremely nice katana whether by Sadakatsu or not. It is thick and wide and heavy. Check the measurements again, this monster is 5/16″ (0.3125″) thick, 1.25″ wide at the hamachi or motohaba and 3/4″(0.75″) at the yokote or sakihaba.
It is in excellent polish. The hada is itame, the hamon gunome midare in nie deki.
The sword is flawless and beautiful.
