Beautiful chocolate brown iron plate depicting a water and fowl motif in gold, silver and shakudo. The scene is of a heron sitting on a boat nestled in the grasses. Geese flying overhead gives this a fall feel. The reverse depicts a stream flowing into the lake.
The tsuba is very well forged plate as evidenced by its weight. While not an incredibly large tsuba, it weighs 160gm. When you pick it up you will say, wow it is heavy.
