MEI: MASAKAZU

DIMENSIONS: 0.875” X 0.5”

These menuki are done in rich shakudo, shibuichi and gold and are signed Masakazu 昌一.  With the combination of characters used in this mei, I have not been able to pinpoint this particular maker or a probable school.

The NBTHK issued Hozon papers for them but did not provide any significant information. None the less they are extremely nice work and would be a great set to mount on that special tanto project.

The price is less than it would cost to send them to Japan for shinsa.
