Shinto katana by Rai Nobuyoshi. Nakago is suriage, but the full mei was retained. Hada is itame, hamon is suguha in nio deki. There is a sprinkling of ko-nie randomly along the yakiba. Boshi is ko-maru. There are bo-hi bilaterally.

NOBUYOSHI (信吉), Kanbun (寛文, 1661-1673), Settsu –“Takai Echizen no Kami Minamoto Rai Nobuyoshi” (高井越前守源来信吉), “Echizen no Kami Minamoto Rai Nobuyoshi” (越前守源来信吉), “Nyūdō Rai Minamoto Nobuyoshi” (入道源来信吉), younger brother of the 1st gen. Yamashiro Nobuyoshi (信吉), priest name Rinshin (倫信), he also carved a chrysanthemum and the preceding character of “Ichi” (一) onto his tangs, his excellently hardened suguha reminds of Inoue Shinkai (井上真改) and he also applied a tōranba, rated chūjō-saku
