OBIDOMI, SUAKA BAT SILVER MOON

Obidome are a decorative accessory worn with the kimono. This obidome is made from a shakudo ishime plate depicting a silver moon amidst wisps of clouds with a bat highlighted in gold flying in the night sky. The frame is shibuichi with silver attaching fittings intact and complete. This obidomi is slightly convex which would lay nicely next to the kimono’s obi. Obidomi of his quality are rarely seen. It is even more rare to find them with original attaching hardware. They are made with the same skill as kodogu (metal sword fittings) used to embellish Nihonto (Japanese sword). This is excellent and complete. The size: 1/2″(1.27cm) x 3 1/3″ (8.26cm).
